Bb86 allows for bearings to go almost directly into the frame. It's an 86mm wide, 41mm inner diameter shell. With the bb86 campy ut bearing kit, you're pressing the bearings onto the campagnolo ultra-torque spindle, then fitting the cranks into the bottom bracket.The ceramicspeed bearings are the essence of the kit. There are two choices. The first choice is our low drag, long life standard bearing, with hardened-steel races and our super round ceramicspeed balls. Second is our coated bearing, which uses those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag.The ultra-torque spindle starts as two pieces and is connected via a hirth joint. The bearings are installed on the spindle and resting against the arms. A removal/installation tool is necessary; we sell one here, but any appropriate tool will work.
